Idea Napkin No. 2/ 19A

1)        You. (Me.) My name is Brittany and I’m a full-time employee and student. I am skilled and experienced in managing large projects where I work with a team of people to achieve short-term and long-term goals. I use my planning and organization skills to break apart large projects into smaller tasks and then delegate work to the qualified people. I aspire to use my skills to help create a better world for animals. Animal welfare is something I am very passionate about and by opening a vegetarian restaurant, I would be exposing people to healthy, flavorful and satisfying foods that don’t require the exploitation of animals to create. If I owned a restaurant I would use my management skills hire professionals to perform the day-to-day duties while working to open more locations or working with other companies to improve or ad products. 2)        What are you offering to customers? My restaurant will offer deliciou...

Create a Customer Avatar/ 18A

The avatar I created for my restaurant is actually an entrepreneur herself. She runs a small business that sells unique handmade jewelry online. Her job allows her to have plenty of time to stay at home with her two small children. Her kids, husband and herself are all vegetarians making them big fans of my restaurant (the only vegetarian restaurant in Ocala). Her family lives in an average sized home where they try to live simply and healthily. All groceries are bough organic and fresh produce is purchased from the local farmers market. She even does some gardening herself and has a mini farm in her back yard with goats and chickens! Even though she greatly cares for the environment and living in a way that doesn't harm other beings, she does not like getting involved in politics. She will however, stand up for animal rights and support groups who fight for their fair treatment. Her main goals are to focus on living a good life and doing what she believes is right as an individ...

Reading Reflection No. 1/ 13A

1. Coco Chanel's youth years surprised me the most to learn that she was raised in foster care. I most admire her creative way to see fashion in a different way that was not considered "fashionable" at that time. Her personality was the least impressive to me. She had a hard time showing her emotions and vulnerabilities. Her love life is what was usually in the center of her failures. 2. Her creative and daring ways are what has changed fashion forever and remains to be her biggest legacy. The way she used cheap fabrics and left over materials to make show stopping pieces is very admirable. 3. I guess the drama was the hardest thing to follow in this book and was a little boring to red through. 4. What are your thought on woman's fashion today? Would she still have perused fashion if she was living today? 5. I think her opinion of hard work is to stay up late and perfect pieces and scents. A lot of her hard work today would be consumer research and getting fee...

Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 2/ 15A

Interview #1 My first interview was a vegetarian. Choosing places to eat for lunch has many factors to her. I asked if she would be more likely to pick a small vegetarian restaurant with a few options or a larger chain non-vegetarian restaurant to have lunch. I asked whether price was an issue and she explained that for a vegetarian restaurant, price is usually not an issue. They do tend to be pricier, but she gets so excited to go vegetarian restaurants and loves feeling “in her element” that the price is worth it. If she was to choose to eat at a bigger chain restaurant then price would be more of a concern since she is paying for food that may be cooked around other meat based foods and she may not even enjoy. She tries to not eat out too much and bring her own lunch to work because homemade lunches do tend to be cheaper and also healthier so going out for lunch is a once a week treat. After her purchase she tends to judge the food based on taste. If there is a problem, she will ...

Halfway Reflection/ 14A

1) Tenaciousness is a competency- To keep up with the requirements of this class, I have had to be very creative. The assignments are extremely similar to the others so writing something interesting to read that isn't the same thing over and over again has forced me to think differently.  2) Tenaciousness is also about attitude. - As mentioned above, the assignments are very redundant and a little silly. For example, the "Forming Opportunity" assignment was silly because I knew what the problem was and why people had it, but I still had to interview people what the problem was and why they had it... I got a lot of "Uhhhhh.... huh?"'s in my interviews. It was a little embarrassing.  3) Three tips. #1 Start early so you have time to make your assignments make sense. People are actually reading them so rushing your assignments makes them a little dull and boring. #2 Don't be dull and boring. There is a lot of redundancy in this class and it gets a ...

Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 1/ 12A

Segment: I am doing research for a vegetarian restaurant. I would like my restaurant to be a popular lunch place in town so I decided to talk with people who look for healthy options when choosing their lunch venue. My restaurant will cater to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians so the people I interviewed were those who didn’t have a preference for meat but loved veggies. Interview #1 My first interview was with a business man who often takes clients or partners to lunch. When he looks for restaurants to dine in, environment is very important especially if they will be discussing business deals. He also looks at places that were different and offered something more than burgers and fries. One of his favorite lunch meals are tacos! Interview #2 The next interview was with someone who is interested in trying new things. She has recently found a new love for Korean food and has been exposed to so many new dishes she has never tried before. Of course her go-to venues for lu...
